Green energy is now.
In these times of continuous discussion around the global CO2 problem, natural gas is often cited as a better alternative to petroleum products. But, even natural gas is an exhaustible resource which needs to be conserved. SARIA has developed a much more seminal equivalent: biogas, produced from organic food waste collected from supermarkets, restaurants and hotels. Electricity and heat can be generated from these alternative energy sources without any demands being placed on natural resources. Today SARIA companies are feeding countless kWh of bioelectricity into the national grid. Biogas is also being fed into the natural gas network. This is all helping to create a new roadmap for a responsible future.
Nothing leftover from the methane gas production process remains unused. The digestates which remain after the process are treated and used as fertiliser for farming. |

The SARIA subsidiary, ReFood, doesn’t just specialise in the collection of food waste, it also takes care of its recycling. The company has four biogas plants which use this food waste to generate energy.
